The gift of today's dreams(आज के सपनों का उपहार)

Mahindra and Mahindra is testing the upcoming XUV 7XO on the Indian roads right before the January 5th official launch. The XUV 7XO is essentially an updated version of the XUV700. This is not the first time that the brand has renamed a SUV; they renamed the XUV300 to XUV 3XO when the new version launched. This time, the XUV 7XO was spotted alongside the Mahindra XUV 7XO

The video reveals the new design signature of the LED Daytime Running Lamps. They no longer extend below. Instead, they make a U-shape much sooner, a bit like the Daytime Running Lamp of the Scorpio N. The headlamps are now also equipped with projector headlamps, which should help in improving the illumination even further.

There are also redesigned fog lamps that have been repositioned as well. There is also a new grille that seems inspired by the XUV500. The bumper will be redesigned as well. On the sides, a fresh set of alloy wheels will be introduced, whereas the flush door handles and roof rails will stay the same. At the rear, the design of the tail lamps will be revised, mirroring the style observed on the newly launched XEV 9S.

What will be the changes to the interior of the Mahindra XUV 7XO?

The earlier images validate that the XUV 7XO will feature a new interior design for the cabin. It will now be adorned in a beige and tan brown colour palette, providing a more premium appearance. The door pads were covered with camouflage, but we anticipate they will receive the same colour treatment. Occupants in the second row will also benefit from a centre armrest equipped with cupholders. A new two-spoke steering wheel, derived from the Born Electric Mahindra electric vehicles, is confirmed for the XUV 7XO. However, it differs slightly in button placements as it utilises actual physical buttons rather than tactical ones, which share a single pad. This is advantageous, as the steering wheel buttons were a minor concern for me during my experience with the XEV 9e and BE 6.

In comparison, the existing XUV700 is outfitted with a dual-screen configuration. The XUV 7XO will include a display for the passenger, alongside an infotainment system and a digital screen for the driver. The Boss mode will enable the rear passenger to enhance legroom by adjusting the front passenger seat directly from the second row.

Renault to Hike Prices of Kwid, Triber and Kiger from January 2026

ByAyush Arya

Updated on: Dec 26, 2026 07:15 pm IST

Renault India has announced a price hike of up to 2% across its lineup from January 2026, citing rising costs.

Renault India has announced a price hike across its model range, effective January 2026. The revision will see prices increase by up to 2 percent, depending on the model and variant. According to the company, the decision has been driven by rising input costs and prevailing macroeconomic conditions.

Renault’s current India lineup

Renault currently sells three models in the Indian market: the Kwid, Triber and Kiger. Post the revision, the entry-level Kwid will continue to be the most affordable offering in the brand’s portfolio, with current ex-showroom prices ranging from ₹4.29 lakh to ₹5.99 lakh. The Triber, which is positioned as a compact MPV, is priced between ₹5.76 lakh and ₹8.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kiger compact SUV sits at the top of Renault’s India lineup, with prices starting at ₹5.76 lakh and going up to ₹10.33 lakh (ex-showroom).

The company has clarified that the price hike will not be uniform and will vary across models and trims. Specific revised prices are expected to be announced closer to the implementation date in January.

This increase comes shortly after Renault adjusted ex-showroom prices following changes under the new GST regime, which had resulted in a reduction in prices for select models. The upcoming hike effectively offsets some of those benefits.

New Renault Duster coming in January

Alongside the pricing update, Renault has also confirmed that it will debut the new-generation Duster SUV in India in January 2026. The brand has released the first official teaser of the upcoming model, offering an initial glimpse of the SUV’s rear design. While the teaser does not reveal detailed styling or specifications, it signals the start of Renault’s build-up to the Duster’s India launch.
