National Testing Agency (NTA)
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an autonomous, premier testing organization in India established by the Ministry of Education. Its primary purpose is to conduct standardized entrance examinations for admission and fellowships in higher educational institutions.
Key 2026 Updates & Major Exams
As of January 3, 2026, the NTA is managing the following key exam cycles:
- CUET (UG) 2026: Registration is currently LIVE on the CUET portal. The exam is scheduled to be held from May 11 to May 31, 2026.
- JEE Main 2026: Session 1 is scheduled for January 21 to 30, 2026. The city intimation slip is expected to be released in the first week of January.
- Deadline Alert: Candidates with photo mismatches have until January 15, 2026, to upload an attested identity verification certificate.
- NEET (UG): Conducted for medical undergraduate admissions; the agency recently declared final results and ranks for the 2026 cycle and is preparing for 2026.
