Eligibility Criteria OF NID Assam Visiting Faculty Recruitment

•  Educational Qualification: Candidates with UG degree with minimum 7 years of full-time experience OR those with PG degree with minimum 5 years of full-time experience in industry and/or academics
• Essential Requirement: Either of the two (PG or UG degree) should be in design
• Experience: Minimum 5 years for PG degree holders or 7 years for UG degree holders in industry and/or academics

• Level VIII (25+ years experience): Rs. 8,000/- per full day (6 hrs) session + Rs. 1,200/- food allowances (incl. GST)
• Level VII (20 to 25 years experience): Rs. 7,000/- per full day session + Rs. 1,000/- food allowances
• Level VI (15 to 20 years experience): Rs. 6,000/- per full day session + Rs. 900/- food allowances

Selection Process OF NID Assam Visiting Faculty Recruitment

• The Institute will conduct an interview through a committee
• A panel will be drawn in each discipline for which VF is to be engaged as per Institutional requirement
• Any empanelled candidate recommended by the Selection Committee may be required to deliver lectures as per requirements of Institutions
• Decision of the committee will be final for selection of candidates
• In case of any dispute or discrepancy, the decision of the Director, NID Assam, shall be final

General Information/Instructions

• NID Assam is an autonomous Institution of National Importance under Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India
• Established at Jorhat through the NID Act, 2014 and NID (Amendment) Act, 2019 passed by the Parliament of India
• Timing of courses will be during official institutional hours
• The Institute will arrange for the travel and accommodation at Jorhat
• Discipline Lead will verify the presence of the Visiting Faculty for the course and completion of the course at the end
• For outstation Visiting Faculty, they should submit one-way boarding pass (Web checking boarding pass) and taxi/cab bills/receipts in original certified by the Anchor Faculty/Discipline Lead
• No bills with respect to food needs to be submitted
• Allowances will be paid to the VF at the end of the course in case of a one/two-week course and after the end of the week in case the course is for longer duration
• The empanelment will be as per the academic course requirement
• NID Assam reserves the right to terminate the empanelment at any time without assigning any reason thereof
• NID Assam may at its discretion withdraw this notice of empanelment, amend/revise or cancel the same at any stage of empanelment
• Travel for local Visiting Faculty (within Jorhat) may either be arranged by the institute or will be reimbursed if arranged by the Visiting Faculty under intimation to the institute at the rates as per the institutional norms
